Australia : from ocean to mansion

The drive from Twelve Apostle in Port Campbell National Park (B) took us about almost 2hour to reach Lorne (the one with the bed mark). The winding road somehow similar to Batu Feringgi, Penang. Since Im not the one behind the wheels, so I sat quietly behind trying to overcome the motion sickness (this explain why there is no pictures on the way back). Reached Lorne about 4.30pm, check-in into our 2-bedroom house about 200m from the beach. It was still drizzling outside, so we were not able to use the outdoor BBQ pit (provided by them at the balcony). Instead we use the old fashion oven grill to cook our lamb & chicken masala. In one day, we had traveled about 450km (Noble Park - Geelong - Port Campbell - Lorne)

The next morning, me & Badyah decided to watch the sunrise by the beach. It was 6am and it was still pitch black! Ameena told us to stay away from trees and preferable to avoid all dark areas. So, we went out not really knowing where to go (with knowledge that the beach is just straight ahead). Everyone was still soundly asleep, except for one bakery shop nearby. We adventure on our own and suddenly it starts drizzling again. Sadly, we don't get to view our sunrise, instead we are a bit wet.

Check out at 10am, and its time to hit the road back to the city. We traveled on the other route available, through the forest not by the sea. Wind down the window a little bit and the sweet forest smell quickly fill the air. The air was cool, refreshing and the forest smell was nothing like I've experienced.

Ameena keep asking us to look for wild kangaroo. Forget about the kangaroo, Im loving the forest smell, everybreath!!!
So, we drove past the forest. Now the earth is like a giant green carpet with cows & sheep everywhere. Its black sheep with horns (unlike in Scotland, its more like white-ish & a bit browny with no horn) I felt asleep in the car, somewhere between Geelong and Werribee.

The next stop is the Werribee Park. Visits it Mansion, Formal Garden, Laundry & Sculpture Walk. Entrance is free, and it is open daily at 10am. One of it section is the Laundry (top picture on the left), one of the largest private laundries in Australia, in the 19th century. Sculpture walk was something, as I cant understand the arts display there. Then we head into the big mansion. The mansion was telling a story, of those who lives in the 19th century. Huge rooms with art displayed on the walls. Very elegant dress they wore. It was almost 2pm, and we have to get going home.
